The following guidelines concerning remuneration payable to officers of the company were accepted at the 2011 AGM:

The board of directors proposes that the guidelines accepted at the 2010 AGM should continue to apply unchanged. Remuneration paid to the CEO and others in the company's management shall consist of a fixed remuneration, possible variable compensation, pension and any other customary benefits. The total sum paid must reflect market levels of compensation and the terms and conditions of payment shall reward good performance as well as give equal incentive for both the shareholders and the individual.

Fixed Compensation

Remuneration in the form of fixed compensation is to be paid in proportion to the officer's experience, responsibility and competence.

Variable Compensation

Variable compensation is to be paid in proportion to the officer's responsibility and competence. Additionally, compensation is to be both capped and based on the achievement of goals that correspond with shareholders' long-term interests. The variable compensation shall, whenever applicable, be based on quantitative and qualitative goals.

The company's cost for the variable compensation paid to the CEO and other company management is to amount to between zero and 100 per cent of the total sum of fixed remuneration paid, in line with goal-achievement.

The board proposes that the CEO and other company management in the same manner be given the right to participate in stock option plans as other staff and in accordance with the proposal the board submits at the AGM, as well as to receive any subsidised premium on the same terms as other HiQ employees.

Pension

HiQ offers its employees a premium-based pension scheme with the right to receive a pension payment from 65 years of age. Variable compensation paid is not pensionable. Retirement benefits are to be limited to 35 per cent of the amount of fixed compensation paid and to a maximum of approximately SEK 400,000 per annum and per employee.

Additional Benefits

Additional benefits provided by HiQ consist of conventional benefits given in accordance with local custom.

Termination of Employment and Severance Payment

With regard to the CEO, a mutual period of notice of six months will apply should either the company or the CEO choose to terminate the CEO's employment. Should the company choose to terminate the CEO's employment, a severance payment equivalent to ten month's salary is to be paid. Should the CEO choose to terminate his/her employment, then salary payable and other benefits are to be paid for a period of four months after employment ceases, during which time a non-compete clause will apply. In the case of the termination of the employment of other management, a mutual period of notice of three to six months will ordinarily apply.

The CEO determines the amount of remuneration payable to management. The amount of remuneration payable to the CEO is to be determined by the board.

The board may deviate from these guidelines in isolated cases if special reasons for doing so exist.

Technological development generates new products and services that shape our everyday lives and the way we live them. Today, we submit our tax declarations via our mobile phones, read the newspaper on our tablets and stream our favourite music through our headphones.

We expect life's technological solutions to be easy to use and accessible 24-7. At HiQ, we help our customers to improve their technology, business and operations. This involves working with them to develop high-technology products and services and providing advice on how they can improve their competitiveness using cutting-edge technology.

Our clients are looking for a long-term partner who can see the big picture, understands their operations and that is uninfluenced by outside interests. HiQ is an independent advisor with our customers’ best interests at heart, without commercial ties to vendors, products or technologies. For us, technology is a tool and our mission as specialists is to see technology's role in a broader context and then create simple solutions to complex problems. In this way, we help our customers to both generate business and to improve their operations.

Through extensive expertise in many different areas of operation and specialisation, we are able to develop solutions based on industry-specific potential for profitability and the existing competitive situation. We are also able to develop and implement projects from start to finish. We value in-depth knowledge of our customers' operations and provide expertise that improves their profitability.

Working closely with our customers to create solutions to difficult challenges, even under tight deadlines, is something we thrive on. We work hard to find those simple solutions and have the courage to sideline unnecessary elements in order to achieve optimal results. For our customers, this means we make the big picture, commercial benefits and results our first priority. This might sound simple, but the truth is that finding the simple solutions is sometimes harder than overcoming technical obstacles.

At HiQ, we often use advanced technology to make everyday life simpler. Some examples of our work include helping diabetes patients to receive the correct medication and helping drivers to avoid dangerous traffic situations. HiQ is a consultancy firm in the truest sense. We understand technology and how it can earn our clients money. We believe in delivering results, fulfilling our responsibilities and making tough jobs simple.

HiQ Stockholm

HiQ Stockholm is located in the heart of the Swedish capital and has some of the best views of the city available. With more than 400 employees, we serve clients from other parts of the country, the region and around the world.

We help customers in segments such as telecom, defence, finance and insurance, industry and retail, gaming, entertainment and media and the public sector. We offer everything from strategy consulting, business development and software development to testing.

Our customers are not looking primarily for our resources and a few extra hands, but for our minds and innovative abilities. Although we work across many industries and supply a wide range of services, we are specialists with an in-depth understanding of the fields and domains in which we work. We understand the need to place technology within a context and how technology affects the people who work with it and our customers' business in general.

Simplicity is difficult to achieve, but for us it is a necessary way of approaching assignments to ensure we deliver useful and efficient solutions to difficult problems. It takes courage to step away from conventional thinking in order to seek better solutions to our customers' challenges. Staff at HiQ Stockholm are daring and creative team players. Could you be one of us?

HiQ Göteborg

HiQ Göteborg has been active in the heart of the technology-intensive Gothenburg region since 1998.

HiQ Gothenburg has over 220 specialists with expertise in fields such as software development (from start to finished product), quality management (especially testing and verification), qualified project management and business development, mobility and web development.

We are very flexible when it comes to forms of cooperation with our customers – we can work either at your location or at our own offices. We can participate in our customers' projects, or run an entire project either at your premises or at our offices.

Approximately two-thirds of our business is conducted on-site with our customers and the remainder at our offices, often in the form of project assignments. We have successfully carried out numerous projects at our offices and have extensive experience, expertise and structural investment in this form of working.

HiQ Karlskrona

At HiQ Karlskrona we are experts in software development and in testing IS/IT systems for both operators and suppliers.

The company was established in 2004 when HiQ began operations at its own premises in Blekinge. The region is home to some of HiQ's most important contracted customers, like Telenor and Ericsson.

HiQ's strategy in Karlskrona is to expand within the telecom sector, but also to grow in other areas, too. Project management and management consulting is a second area in which we offer our services, such as expertise in requirements management, streamlining and management, to a broad range of customers.

HiQ Ace, Linköping

HiQ Ace is located in Sweden's bustling, fourth-largest metropolitan region in Östergötland County.

We have provided software development expertise for the automotive, defence and telecom industries for a number of years, working together with world-leading clients from the region. HiQ Ace is now adding business-critical IT to our offering and helping our customers develop processes and IT support.

HiQ Ace is an entrepreneur-driven company that is growing fast. Our consultants are skilled at solving the most difficult of technical problems. On the other hand, it's in our nature to try not to complicate things unnecessarily, but to help each other and our customers to see what possibilities are available. Oh, and having fun is a fringe benefit when you work with HiQ!

HiQ MobilEyes

HiQ's Russian office is located in central Moscow and has been running successful nearshore projects since 1999.

We specialise in all open mobile platforms, finance, gaming, entertainment and media. Our colleagues in Moscow have many years of experience handling development work for international clients and, needless to say, all our staff here speak English. We possess the same high level of quality awareness here at our nearshore centre as at all our other HiQ offices.

With our nearshore model, HiQ offers cost-effective solutions without compromising quality, budget or deadlines. HiQ's model offers a flexible solution in that we can assume full responsibility for projects with the help of a project coordinator from one of our local offices. We like to work using the agile Scrum method, but, naturally, are also happy to adapt and use whatever methods our customers prefer. This is outsourcing 2.0!

HiQ Skåne

On the Swedish side of the technology and innovation-intensive Öresund Region, HiQ Skåne has been active since 2002.

We are a stable and expanding service company with 130 employees and have established ourselves as a leading partner both for highly specialised and innovative companies and for global industries. Successful turnkey projects completed for our local customers have allowed us to establish ourselves as an international player with clients in commerce, telecom, electronics, media, finance and medicin in both the European continent and in North America.

Our expertise extends from product development (e.g. embedded system for controlling electronics) to business support (complete systems for e-commerce). Accepting full responsibility for projects is just as common for us as providing expert consultants to work on-site with our clients. At our offices in Lund, we have centres for mobile application development, web services development and quality assurance.

HiQ København

Copenhagen is one of northern Europe's largest cities and is characterised by a business community that boasts great breadth – from industry and energy to pharmaceuticals and financial services.

HiQ's gateway into this market is HiQ København. We help customers in a variety of industries by providing both local expertise and by acting as a local channel for the expertise of HiQ Group's 1,200-employees.

We make the list of Denmark's best workplaces and our employees are characterised by vast experience and a desire to find effective solutions for our customers.

HiQ Finland

Located in Espoo, in the heart of Finland's high-tech area just outside Helsinki, HiQ Finland specialises in challenging systems development projects, quality assurance, project management and consultancy.

The company is one of the oldest within the Finnish IT sector and consists of a highly experienced team of experts.

Our core expertise lies in areas such as e-commerce solutions using mobile and web-based portals, business-critical systems, interactive gaming platforms, telecommunications systems, network services within telecom, and mobile applications.

With our unique understanding of business process integration and management, we help our customers get maximum value out of their existing IT environments.

We have created innovative systems and solutions for a number of Finnish and international organisations. HiQ Finland also holds a strong position within quality assurance – with a complete offering that covers the entire process from strategy, methodology and management to implementation.

WE SPECIALISE IN TWO AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

HiQ Göteborg specialises in product development (R&D) and business support systems (IS/IT), helping our clients to improve both their competitiveness and business.

Product development (R&D). We help our customers develop software that they then resell to their customers in one form or another. We have a large number of customers within R&D, such as Ericsson, Volvo Cars, AB Volvo, Ascom, Esab, Bombardier, Rosemount Tank Radar, Saab AB, RUAG, Jeppesen and Volvohandelns Utvecklings AB.

Within R&D we work with technologies such as embedded real-time systems in C/C++/Ada, object-orientation, model-based development, UML, TCP/IP, LIN/CAN/MOST, Unix/Linux, RTOS and many more.

Business Support Systems (IS/IT). Here we focus on specialist areas such as interactive marketing, content management, mobile application development and portals. We are specialists in programming languages like #net, Java, C++ and various web environments.

Within business support systems, we work with companies like Saab Automobile, SJ, Jeppesen, SCA, Volvo Cars, SKF and Netbil.

EIGHT SIMPLE STRATEGIES

Sound values.
Our values have been in place ever since the inception of HiQ, 15 years ago. They constitute the soul and the heart of HiQ. At HiQ, we believe that our clearly communicated corporate values – results, responsibility, simplicity and joy – generate quality work and, thereby, satisfi ed customers. With the help of sound values, both employees and the company's structural capital can be better developed. Our values are not much to look at, but to live by. Our values are a decisive competitive advantage for both HiQ and our customers.

Specialists within technology, business and operation.
We are a specialist consultancy firm with a high degree of expertise within communication, software development and business-critical IT. HiQ holds a strong position within telecommunications, working together with suppliers, operators and users. We share the skills we have gained in this fi eld with our customers in every other field. At HiQ, we have both technology expertise and understand the importance of technology for a business. By gaining a thorough knowledge of our customers' business operations, we are able to contribute expertise on how technology can improve their competitiveness.

Quality, profitability and growth.
Just as our name suggests, high quality is the foundation on which HiQ is built. When we deliver high quality, we will have satisfi ed customers, which in turn will make us profitable, which in turn will provide us with the opportunity to grow. We prioritise quality, profitability and growth – in that order. It is a strategy that has proven to be a perfect fit for us, given that we have achieved an average operating margin of 15.4 per cent and an average growth of 24 per cent since our establishment.

Nordic heart.
At its heart, HiQ is a Nordic consultancy company and is well positioned in the region. The percentage of international clients turning to HiQ continues to grow as we increase the number of contracts we sign with non-Nordic companies and Nordic customers with assignments abroad.

A true concultancy firm.
We are a consultancy firm in the truest sense, acting as an independent advisor that puts the best interests of our customers fi rst. HiQ does not develop its own products in competition with our customers' products. That means we are happy to share 100 per cent of our expertise with our customers. HiQ has no commercial ties to suppliers, products or technologies.

Knowledge transfer between industries.
We work actively to transfer knowledge between our customers' industries. By doing so, our customers benefi t from new expertise concerning both technology and business operations from industries that are completely separate from their own. The need for communication continues to increase in a growing number of industries, at the same time as our expertise in areas such as mobility and simulation is being in demand from new industries.

Growth.
Our growth strategy is to grow organically in combination with strategic acquisitions. HiQ’s acquisition strategy is to strengthen the geographical presence in the Nordic region and to acquire companies adding new competences to HiQ’s core business. The acquisitions strengthen us with new clients and new market segments. Our model for organic growth is based on development of our current operations and to recruit locally on every site.

Experience and expertise.
Advanced technical expertise and a broad understanding of the way businesses operate are typical of HiQ. Our staff have an average of ten years' experience developing technology and businesses. 81 percent have university degrees and 69 per cent are certifi ed engineers.

The Maths Centre

Maths is the first step.

At HiQ, we're convinced that discovering the joys of mathematics at an early age is important. We help young people with their maths so that one day they can become our consultants here at HiQ.

The Maths Centre is a non-profit organisation. It provides free maths instruction and homework support to around 1,200 children and young people every week in 10 cities in Sweden. The Maths Centre holds 24 maths workshops a week in which 150 volunteers work together to help students and young people with their maths.

In addition to maths workshops, the Maths Centre also operates an online site: www.matteboken.se (matteboken is the Swedish word for "The maths book"). The site offers a free online tool containing a complete maths book from the Swedish A-E maths courses with exercises and descriptions, 350 video lessons and a forum where users can ask questions. Approximately 10 per cent of Sweden's upper-secondary school students (about 30,000 students) visit matteboken.se each month.

HiQ Sailing Team

2002-2008 HiQ had a very successful collaboration with the sailing project HiQ Sailing Team. HiQ Sailing Team, the well-known 60-foot trimaran and one of the fastest sailing boats in the world, has broken a number of records through the years. Among the most spectacular were the events of December 2006, when HiQ Sailing Team sailed around Gotland in a new record time of 17 hours 39 minutes – at an average speed of nearly 21 knots!

The trimaran has given us amazing experiences with both customers and staff, a great deal of pride and attention. It has been a true journey writing record history together.

The career
  • European Master in FIA European Touring Car Cup
  • European Master in Formel Ford
  • 4 Gold medals in STCC
  • 1 Silver medal in STCC
  • 1 Bronze medal in STCC
  • In STCC he has won 34 races in eight seasons
  • and ended up on the podium 57 times out of 109 possible!
  • 2010 Richard won his fourth STCC title. This makes Richard the most successful driver in STCC, in all categories. Closest is Fredrik Ekblom with 3 STCC titles and Flash med 33 victories.

The HiQ Trimaran

ONE OF THE FASTEST SAILING BOATS IN THE WORLD.

HiQ is one of the fastest sailing boats in the world. In good conditions the boat can sail faster than 40 knots – last year’s speed record was 41,6 knots. The boat is 60 feet long, 20 meters wide and weighs around 5 tonnes. The sail area is very large compared with the size of the boat, making the vessel quick and light on the rudder, but an advanced craft to sail – the Formula 1 of sailing. The new trimaran HiQ is one of the fastest sailing vessels in the world and has successfully sailed in competitions such as the ORMA, Jaques Vabre and Route du Rhum.

Trimaran

The project had backing from HiQ and co-partners Klabbe Nylöf, Andreas Andersén and Pelle Norberg. Together they form a very strong team who have accumulated many merits in the Whitbread, Volvo Ocean Race and other major international competitions.

HiQ WORKS WITH COMPANIES IN BOTH THE NORDIC REGION AND WORLDWIDE ACROSS MANY DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES.

Our customers are companies that want to be at the forefront of technological development; they want to be able to offer simple solutions and to develop their businesses with the help of IT and technology. We divide them into seven different segments.

Media, gaming and entertainment

In 2011, close to three million people in the Nordic region use interactive channels to bet on sporting events and games of chance each week.

The need for mobile and interactive gaming platforms is driving development forward and the market for gaming and game operators has developed quickly and continues to grow.

HiQ is one of the Nordic region's leading IT consultancy firms in developing platforms for online gaming. Our vast experience working within the telecom industry means HiQ can meet the increased demand for convergent services that we see today, that is, for services that integrate Internet and mobility, as well as media and entertainment. Thanks to our experience and expertise, HiQ is meeting the high demands for security, stability and function imposed by the industry.

For example, HiQ works together with leading media companies and on projects related to their business systems linked to the improvement of processes and production of digitalised media content, which represents both a great opportunity and a great challenge for the media industry today.

HiQ's customers include Ace Interactive, Aftonbladet, Bonnier, GTECH, Hippos, Kanal5, Svenska Spel, Veikkaus and Voddler.

Telecom

As always, technological development is moving ahead rapidly and the need for individuals and businesses to communicate with one another is increasing.

This rapid development – with short product life cycles and the continuous addition of new services – drives the telecom industry forward at high speed and makes mobility, increased capacity and bandwidth ever more important. This places significant demands on industry players, with continuous changes in technology and platforms as the result.

HiQ has a very strong foothold within telecom and works with a number of global and world-leading customers. We have vast expertise within telecommunications systems, from both technical and business perspectives. We have worked together with suppliers, operators and users, as well as regulatory bodies for 15 years now. Our knowledge of the industry and expertise creates value both for our customers and for projects in other industries, given that there is now a high level of dependence on telecom technology in many other sectors.

Our customers include Ascom Wireless Solutions, Com Hem, Ericsson, ST-Ericsson, Nokia, TDC, Tele2, Telenor, Telia Denmark, 3 and PTS.

Automotive

In an industry that places tough demands on shorter development and production cycles, HiQ is well equipped to meet the challenge.

HiQ is on hand to help develop communication between different devices within the same vehicle and also between vehicles.

HiQ's work within the automotive industry is wide-ranging and includes project management, developing and testing software for active safety features, telematics and infotainment. At HiQ, we're increasing our market share and broadening our partnerships with new customers in the industry.

Among others, HiQ currently holds contracts with a global vehicle manufacturer for the delivery of vehicle systems to Brazil. Another growing area in which HiQ benefits from our extensive industry experience in telecommunications is mobility. Here we help Saab Automobile AB with its development of technical platforms for marketing via digital channels and mobile applications, for example.

Some examples of our vehicle customers are Danaher Motion, Haldex Traction, NIRA Dynamics, Scania, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group.

Defence

Today, the defence industry is global and international risk scenarios are constantly changing.

The ability to develop and financial resources play an increasingly important role in the industry.

HiQ's expertise within simulation technology and communications in combination with its long-running customer relationships have led to a high demand for our services within defence and security. HiQ's projects involve both product development and support services for operations. We work widely within the industry – with specification of requirements , the development of real-time systems, solutions for RFID, logistics systems and quality assurance, for example.

In our work with the Swedish Armed Forces, HiQ carries out projects related to the implementation of operations systems and our collaboration with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) stretches back more than 15 years. HiQ holds a contract from FMV for the maintenance and continued development of training simulators for the JAS 39 Gripen fighter jet. Over 150 fighter pilots around the world are trained in simulators developed by HiQ.

HiQ works with customers like BAE Systems Bofors/Hägglunds, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, the Swedish Armed Forces and Saab.

Industry and Retail

Industry and retail are two market areas currently undergoing major development.

An expansive development linked to the spread of e-commerce solutions is now taking place within retail, for example. The streamlining and automation of information and goods flows, as well as innovation in marketing and sales channels are also driving development forward. HiQ has a strong offering in the retail area that is based on a deep understanding of the industry built up over many years. HiQ presently acts as a supplier to leading retail chains. We work with everything from e-commerce and procurement and logistics systems to marketing and sales tools.

Within industry, increasingly complex IT-dependent products and support systems are now being built that require development capacity, testing and quality assurance. HiQ is helping in this area and has also been hired to help make strategic decisions about choosing the right IT solutions, about administration and about the continued development and assurance of the reliability of systems.

HiQ's customers in this area include ABB, Atlas Copco, Bombardier, DeLaval, ICA, IL Recycling and Svevia AB.

Public sector

Public authorities and organisations are working hard to develop IT environments that contribute to increasing the efficiency and resilience of their operations, as well as the level of service they provide to citizens.

HiQ has worked to develop business-critical IT solutions for the public sector for more than ten years. We are seeing continued strong demand from this sector and are consolidating our position on the market. Our services include everything from IT management to finalising and commissioning the systems we have developed.

HiQ's extensive experience of working together with public authorities is reflected in our list of public sector customers, which includes the European Chemical Agency (ECHA), the Swedish Enforcement Authority, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), the Swedish National Police Board, the Swedish Transport Agency and Tekes in Finland.

Finance and insurance

Global competition within the finance industry means that it is constantly changing and being improved.

As such, the requirements for conducting successful business in this industry are also constantly changing. EU directives, mandatory legal requirements, business development, globalisation and fast-paced technological development are driving both IT and business processes forward. Effective change requires knowledge of both IT and business. This is HiQ's true forte.

Unlike many other players on the market, HiQ provides the complete package. We know how to build systems, but also why they are built, the rules and laws that govern them and what the business look like that they are built to support involves. Knowing this allows us to work more effectively and with greater focus. We don't wait to be told, but take the initiative to respond to changes that occur along the way.

HiQ works on a wide range of projects within this area. Some examples of areas we are active in are mobile banking and the quality-assurance of IT systems. HiQ also possesses industry-leading expertise within processes and IT for securities trading. Our increased focus on the financial sector has led to HiQ establishing partnerships with international customers in developing solutions for managing securities trading, for example.

After 14 years, HiQ is now well established within finance and insurance. We deliver results to all areas of the sector: banks, asset managers, brokers, market places and technology suppliers. Our customers include SEB, Handelsbanken, Credit Suisse, Garantum, NGM, NOMX, Orc Software, Swedbank and Skandia.

Mobility

Regardless of where we are, we have become used to being in constant contact with the outside world via mobile phones, laptops and tablets – when at work, on holiday and in our free time.

We take it for granted that we have constant access to the services that we feel are important. These might be e-mail, social networking sites, weather reports, mobile banking, or our favourite music, to name just a few. Whatever it might be, the requirements we place on the service with regard to accessibility, privacy, content and usability are great.

HiQ provides expertise within mobility and mobile solutions to customers in all market segments and we are highly competent with regard to various technical platforms. We provide consultancy services and work with strategies, applications, usability and quality assurance linked to business benefits in our customers' operations. Some examples include a mobile banking application for handling banking errands and a mobile e-commerce platform that allows users to buy goods straight from their mobile phones.

Telecom

Telecommunications involves communication between people and between people and systems.

It can also include systems communicating with each other without human involvement. Today, this means that your computer, video game console, mobile, sound system, TV and other devices are able to interact and communicate with the world around them.

HiQ has long held a strong position within telecommunications and cooperates with the majority of systems suppliers, mobile phone manufacturers, operators and users in the Nordic region. We are currently witnessing a continued, strong convergence between the Internet, media, entertainment and mobility. Telecom technology is playing a central role here as increasing amounts of information are transmitted with the help of IP. HiQ is active at the very heart of this convergence.

One example of this is our development of Dreampark's next-generation IPTV portal. TV distribution over IP networks using a new kind of hybrid box will give viewers access to a broad range of TV channels, the Internet, movie rental services, Facebook and Twitter. In the future, it will even be possible to record programmes directly on mobile phones and tablets.

Simulation technology

One of the specialist areas in which HiQ has a long-running history of expertise is simulation technology. We are leaders in the Nordic region in software development for simulated environments and work together with many different customers in the field.

Ever since the JAS Gripen fighter jet first came into service, HiQ has developed simulators for training pilots. HiQ continues its work on this project as the aircraft and technology continue to be developed. An interesting detail about the JAS Gripen project is that the simulator uses the same system software as the actual fighter jet.

HiQ also develops simulators used in the development and testing of new mobile phones and IT solutions for vehicles. Another example is when we helped Forsslund Systems, the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and Karolinska Institutet to develop an oral surgery simulator. The system is used by dentistry students to practice surgical procedures.

Business-critical systems

IT offers a wealth of opportunities for businesses and the public sector to both improve and simplify what they do.

Many companies are highly dependent on their IT systems. Banks and insurance companies are totally dependent on the reliability of the IT systems that manage payments and other transactions, for example. Public sector institutions require support systems to help them keep their operations well organised and to ensure that the services they provide to the public function well.

In the case of the Swedish National Tax Board, for example, IT has made it possible to offer better, simpler, more user-friendly services by providing forms, tax declarations and applications online.

HiQ develops systems able to meet high demands on accessibility and reliability and that are business-critical for the customer's entire operation. Often, these are systems that are required to operate 24-7, such as systems for share trading and case management systems for public authorities. This might also include things like logistical solutions for transport or trading companies. Whatever the case may be, they are always business-critical parts of our customers' operations.

Gaming and platforms

Today there is a veritable ocean of interactive online games. Scratchcards are now available on mobile phones, poker is a success on tablets and there are many new ideas in the pipeline.

HiQ works to produce interactive games for betting and sporting games for state-regulated companies. The demand for interactive gaming alternatives is increasing, especially within sports games.

We are Nordic leaders in the area and develop and implement platforms for both gaming and the games themselves. HiQ also develops advanced solutions for managing security, accessibility and performance. Our customers include established, well-known Nordic gaming companies and betting agencies, as well as GTECH – the world-leading supplier of IT solutions and services for the gaming and lottery industry.

Securities trading

Within finance, HiQ is a specialist in securities trading services.

We have successfully managed a very large number of projects and commissions in this area – from strategy and systems to projects and administration. Efficiency is often the most important issue for our customers, e.g. how to make the process faster, how to monitor it better or how to reduce risk. Thanks to HiQ's understanding of the flows of the securities industry, we are able to find solutions to these issues. We possess expertise on the entire process – from orders and transactions to clearing and settlement.

We provide our customers with insight into the complete process. The finance industry is complex, so it is often possible to focus on and understand only one section of the market. At HiQ, we understand all aspects of the industry. Our comprehensive knowledge allows us to quickly find effective, secure solutions that meet all existing standards and legal requirements, from the time the order is placed to the time the transaction is made and registered. This over-arching capability saves our customers both time and money, allowing them to get up and running quickly and to get to work on new business opportunities.

IT for vehicles

New vehicles launched onto the market today are packed with IT and technological solutions.

This might include an information system for the driver that indicates how the vehicle is performing, a navigation system or an entertainment system for passengers. One area that continues to expand is active safety. Examples of active safety solutions include systems that cause cars to brake automatically when someone or something gets too close and functions that improve driver vision in poor lighting.

HiQ helps vehicle manufacturers and sub-suppliers to the automotive industry to develop platforms, systems and services for vehicles. These facilitate communication between different devices within a vehicle and communication to and from a vehicle. We are well positioned within fields like infotainment, active safety, telematics and usability.

Another growing area in which HiQ has a long record of experience is mobility and digital channels. In this field, we help Saab Automobile AB with its development of technical platforms for marketing via digital channels and mobile applications, for example. We also develop engine management systems, production systems and diagnostics solutions and have delivered a new production system for a leading global car manufacturer to Brazil and Asia. Through our broad-ranging offerings to the automotive industry, HiQ's work saves both money and lives.

HiQ’S IT MANAGEMENT SERVICES IMPROVE OUR CLIENTS' COMPETITIVENESS.

Success is generated using powerful, effective processes – processes with a high content of IT, irrespective of whether the client is a commercial bank, a telecoms operator, a public sector authority or an industrial company.

Management and control of IS/IT work in your organisation is based on investing in the right IS/IT support, delivering the right IT services to the business and actively working with a commercially-minded administrative management to ensure the maximum technical and economic life of applications and systems. Which is why HiQ’s IT management services specialise in these three areas.

Securing your investment

With more than 12 years’ experience of projects in business-critical IT for authorities, industrial companies, transport organisations, banks, finance and insurance institutions, we know what good IT investments require. We work on all phases of our customers’ investments in IS/IT including preliminary studies, supplier appraisals, requirements work and implementation projects. HiQ’s independence guarantees that we work only in the best interests of our client! Ask the hundreds of clients that have made successful investments in IS/IT with HiQ’s help – you are bound to know one…

Operations management

Once an investment in business-critical systems has been put into operation, its value to the business is decided by how well the expected IT services are delivered. HiQ’s IT management services within operations management support the project delivered by taking into account at an early stage what successful operational services require. We work on preparing strategies for operation, identifying services and producing catalogues of services. We also help by providing practical support in the work on ITIL processes, and help businesses to cope with a fast rate of change while at the same time securing and continually improving operations.

How do we do it? Put us to the test, or ask our clients that have improved their businesses by buying in operations management consulting services from HiQ.

Administrative management

The life cycle of process-supporting IT systems is perceived by many organisations as being far too short. Why is that? The answer often lies in poor administrative management. We help to identify objects for administration, set up business-driven administrative committees, and produce documentation, processes and agreements for both the IT side and the commercial side.

The result is that the value of IT investments made is high throughout their life cycle. Do you also want to ensure that your work on existing systems support adds high value to the business? Ask us how to do it! Many organisations in industry, banking and the public sector have already done so.

Our sales staff and consultants are all ready to discuss and deliver high quality IT management services for your organisation!

FLEXIBLE NEARSHORE MODEL

HiQ offers a flexible delivery model tailored to achieve maximum efficiency when outsourcing teams, projects and maintenance.

With our model, we always use a project coordinator located near the customer, regardless of the scope of the commitment, to ensure good communications, timely deliveries and budget discipline and to provide maximum flexibility when changes need to be implemented quickly.

Teams

Team composition is tailored to the needs of the client. We start with an establishment phase in which the project coordinator transfers the customer's process to the team (Scrum, test drive, waterfall, RUP). During the establishment phase, the team consists of 3-7 people and is already productive. During the execution phase, the team grows to the planned sized with full production capacity. During this phase, we are continually analysing progress to find new improvements. Naturally, the original team members from the establishment phase are also involved in the execution phase.

Projects

We take on both small and large projects. We always use a project coordinator to ensure the most efficient use of time throughout the project. We usually use our own processes but in larger projects we can also use the customer's processes. The projects we undertake are comprehensive from start to finish, where we are also responsible for UX, testing and system testing.

Life-cycle maintenance

We view life-cycle maintenance of our projects as a natural step. We adapt to customer needs for maintenance and undertake further development and system changes at attractive prices while the same resources that implemented the project are also involved in the maintenance. This minimises the introduction of new errors and reduces the cost of making changes.

Scalability and efficiency help cut development costs.

A leading supplier of mobile platforms with strict requirements on security and reliability needed to review its development model. HiQ proposed its nearshore model, which offers flexibility and cost-efficiency and because it is suitable for both administration and new development. Gradually it became clear that HiQ's team was more effective than the customer's own outsourcing division located in India. Under the leadership of a project coordinator based in Sweden, the team grew into a full-scale development division responsible for all aspects of system applications, including both new development and administration.

The greatest advantages provided by the nearshore model are that the team is scalable, delivers high-quality results and reduces costs across the entire life cycle of the project. By applying their extensive technical expertise, developers are able to quickly and successfully tackle any new challenges.

SPEED AND EXPERTISE WIN DREAMPARK PRESTIGIOUS ASSIGNMENT.

– HiQ is very knowledgeable when it comes to application development. They understand IPTV and are very flexible, which has put us well on our way to implementing this highly complex project in record time, says Per Skyttvall, CEO at Dreampark.

Dreampark is a growing provider of middleware for IPTV in the European market. The company was founded in Sweden in 2005 and in just a few short years, has won numerous awards as a high-growth company. Dreampark has offices in Stockholm, Linköping and Norrköping.

Background

In the spring of 2010, Dreampark received a large order from a leading telecom provider. The order was for the development of a new IPTV (TV distributed over IP networks) portal with an innovative interface and a range of attractive applications. It was to be developed using new technologies and to include special features. The idea was to offer viewers a wide range of TV channels, Internet service and movie rental services via a new kind of set-top box. In the future, the solution will also allow users to move TV shows to other platforms, allow recordings to be scheduled using mobile phones and tablets, and more.

"This was a completely new type of implementation that Dreampark wanted to put together for a very important customer. The solution had never been tried before and included work on a hybrid set-top box with completely new features. This type of project requires extensive experience in developing IPTV portals and expertise in such areas as IPTV domains, Javascript, Java, CSS, SVG, AJAX, Spring and Linux. We had it all,” explains Helena Forsmark, Head of R&D at HiQ in Stockholm.

“The technical specifications were both advanced and extensive and we had a tight schedule to boot. It was important to quickly provide a team which could help develop the special portal solution according to the customer's numerous and detailed requirements. Dreampark contacted HiQ for help with the project because of HiQ's extensive experience in developing portals for IPTV.”

“HiQ demonstrated that they were flexible and had exactly the expertise we were looking for. Furthermore, they already had the models needed to jump-start the project and this allowed us to begin partnering with them right away," says Dreampark's CEO, Per Skyttvall.

Assignment

Since time was a critical factor, the project needed quick access to a relatively large team. HiQ assigned an expert team that worked on-site at Dreampark in Linköping. The team worked together with Dreampark's developers and developed applications for the portal, developed the interface and refined the underlying technology. Another large team of experts was based in Stockholm, where the more isolated portal applications were developed.  In addition to portal developers, HiQ also included staff with other roles in this team, such as team managers, systems architects, graphic designers and testers. The project followed the agile software development methodology Scrum; with daily stand-up meetings, review meetings, frequent prioritisations and demos. This was an important factor in keeping the whole project together and in making each team member in the different teams feel involved despite their geographical separation.

"It centres around software in a new kind of set-top box that receives signals from cable TV networks, satellite broadcasts and IP networks. As viewers, you have all your options presented in an advanced and easy-to-understand graphical user interface. You can choose between different TV channels, use the Internet, rent movies and log on to Facebook and Twitter, for example, and you can also restrict children's usage. The fact is, the new technology makes it possible to schedule recordings from mobile phones and tablets and even to transfer television programs to mobile phones when you leave the room," explains Skyttvall.

Results

Thanks to fleet-footed and comprehensive efforts by Dreampark and two expert teams of dedicated consultants from HiQ, the project is on track for completion. One of the major challenges has been getting the advanced interface to work as planned and creating a platform that can be expanded. Dreampark's ambition is that the platform will set a new international standard.

INTRODUCTION OF AGILE METHODS RESULTED IN FASTER PROJECTS AND INCREASED JOB SATISFACTION.

– TDC, as an organization, has developed thanks to HiQ’s introduction of agile methods. Agile development strengthened commitment and job satisfaction, resulting in faster projects, says Catharina Hedborg, Product and Marketing Director, TDC.

TDC is a Nordic operator and system integrator with a local presence that has focused on the corporate market. Its customers include the Swedish Tax Agency, Vattenfall, Scandic, Handelsbanken and SEB, to name just a few.

Background

At one point in time, TDC decided to develop the successful Danish service TDC Scale and launch it in Sweden. TDC Scale is a highly scalable telephony service. The service is based on a Centrex design (a virtual PBX) that is installed and operated by TDC. It offers major cost benefits in that TDC's customers are not required to make any investments in their own platform but at the same time are provided with the capacity an services they need. Through TDC Service Online, the TDC customer portal, the customer exercise control over its servises and can both order and change its service.

Assignment

The technology and platform which is used by TDC is open and offers total support for integrating with customers' existing applications (such as business and support systems). To increase the number of applications, a comprehensive development for the integration of presence management and Microsoft OCS was done.

In this business-critical project, HiQ assisted TDC with project management, IT development and testing of the network service. The project was responsible for developing the service from start to finish, in other words, from business case all the way to turnkey delivery of the service, with market communications, sales and customer documentation and all processes in place.

Results

HiQ was in charge of introducing agile methods into the project, which accelerated development of the service. At the same time HiQ managed to streamline the service further by automating previously manual processes.

"TDC, as an organization, has developed thanks to HiQ’s introduction of agile methods. Agile development strengthened commitment and job satisfaction, resulting in faster projects", says Catharina Hedborg, Product and Marketing Director, TDC.

SECURE AND EFFICIENT RECYCLING FOR KUUSAKOSKI.

– IT environment is a key business-critical factor for us to manage the business. From the beginning, HiQ has provided a highly skilled development team that helped us to ensure an efficient and reliable process, from operational to administrative procedures, says Risto Pohjanpalo, Vice President Communications, Kuusakoski OY.

Recycling is a process in wich unnecessary materials are redirected back into production. As there are only a limited amount of raw materias available in the world, recycling i becoming a strategic tool for us all to be able to maintain our high standards of living. Kuusakoski is one of the leading recycling companies in the Northern Europe with recycling sites in 10 countries.

Background

During recent years Kuusakoski has been very successful in developing their processes. For example they have high volume junk car shredding and processing lines, which utilize several high-tech process steps to separate and refine the different material segments. As the actual processes happen mostly on the recycling yards, the logistics is definitely very important. The yard operations are based on semiautomatic truck scales, which are connected to their own developed ERP-system. Besides weighting ot the loads, the bespoke ERP-system handles all the needed business processes from procurement to sales and invoicing, storage management and transportation planning.

Assignment

HiQ's assignment is to develop software for the high-tech processes which separate and purify the material fragments. To date, two major systems development projects has been implemented. The first concerned a materials analysis and sample handling system and the second dealt with production management software for an aluminum plant.

Results

As one of the results, HiQ's work contributed to a greatly enhanced production planning process at the aluminium plant in Hannola. The process integrates with the ERP system's storage management. This makes it possible to fully optimize the usage of the available and coming raw material against known sales orders every week.

"IT environment is a key business-critical factor for us to manage the business. From the beginning, HiQ has provided a highly skilled development team that helped us to ensure an efficient and reliable process, from operational to administrative procedures", says Risto Pohjanpalo, Vice President Communications, Kuusakoski OY.

HiQ's cooperation with Kuusakoski  resulted in the award "Finland's best IT project 2010".

NEARSHORE SOLUTION DECREASED TIME TO MARKET.

- As I see it, the greatest benefit is that we have doubled our capacity to transfer games to our gaming platform. This means that our customers can more quickly offer their customers new games. It makes them more competitive in this highly dynamic industry, while they can lower their cost per game. We are extremely satisfied, says Håkan Andersson, General Manager R&D at ACE Interactive.

ACE Interactive, ACEI AB, develops server-based solutions for online games for gaming operators, such as Norsk Tipping and Italian Cogetech. Slots, poker, blackjack, roulette, bingo and keno are some of the games offered to players. Players tend to change playing patterns quickly and this requires a quick response.

Background

When ACE Interactive needed to evaluate capacity utilization and costs for their gaming platforms, HiQ simplified this by offering a development team in Moscow and Stockholm. This proved a success in both the virtual world and the real world.

In the spring 2010 ACE Interactive noticed greater demand for games from its customers in Norway and Italy. At the same time, the company wanted to lower the cost of developing new games. HiQ's proposal was a development team in Moscow with a coordinator in Stockholm who was well acquainted with the end-clients' operations.

"HiQ could deliver the most credible and affordable alternative. By co-operating with HiQ in Stockholm, who could coordinate skilled and less expensive resources in Moscow, was particularly appealing," says Håkan Andersson, General Manager R&D at ACE Interactive.

Assignment

A nearshore solution with a Swedish project manager at ACE Interactive in Stockholm offers several advantages.

"We have created a simplified and efficient business relationship with ACE Interactive by combining our nearshore competence with long experience from our client’s operations in Stockholm. Russia also has the advantage of having a small time difference compared to Sweden which helps the communication in the project. In addition, we are updating the customer's own system directly, so the need for new procedures was limited," explains Åsa Nordstrand, Key Account Manager at HiQ.

Results

After six months of work ACE Interactive can now deliver more new games to their customers.  Åsa Nordstrand feels that long-term cooperation with customers leads to a better understanding of the customer and higher quality deliveries.

In short, HiQ's business relationship allows ACE Interactive to more quickly provide gaming operators a response to the fast changing demands of terminal players. In turn, this offers ACE Interactive both competitive and commercial advantages.

HOW A-KATSASTUS SIMPLIFIED ESTABLISHING ITSELF IN NEW MARKETS.

- A fast, high-quality system has given us better customer service and satisfied customers,' confirms Kari Kallio, Project Manager at A-Katsastus.

A-Katsastus is a leader in vehicle inspections, registrations, driving tests and vehicle-related testing services in northern Europe. With its headquarters located in Finland, the A-Katsastus Group employs over 2,100 staff in 270 offices across eight countries.

Background

When the Swedish vehicle inspection market was de-regulated recently, the A-Katsastus Group was first to offer motorists an alternative provider. On 1 July 2010, its Swedish subsidiary, A-Besiktning, opened the doors of its first inspection garage in Tyresö, close to Stockholm. In Sweden, A-Besiktning's testing stations operate under the brand name Carspect. When it came time to establish itself in Sweden, A-Katsastus' head office decided that, for the first time in history, it would assist foreign expansion by introducing a new IT system for vehicle inspection (VIS) and a complete IT infrastructure, as opposed to its earlier practice of implementing existing systems.

Assignment

In order to ensure quality and reliability throughout the entire software testing process, A-Katsastus decided to contract an external specialist in quality assurance to test its VIS system. Because the system is business-critical for the entire company's operations, it was vitally important for A-Katsastus to identify potential problems related to accessibility and efficiency in advance.

HiQ was hired to carry out this assignment under a very tight deadline. HiQ offered full-scale testing and consultancy services; everything from strategic test planning to the implementation and introduction of an open source testing tool. HiQ's services also included process support, methodology and training.

While HiQ's test manager took over responsibility for planning, coordination and implementation of software testing for the VIS project, the processes and tools already in use provided Carspect with a reliable and scalable method for software testing and documentation in the meantime.

Results

Since HiQ's test manager had overarching responsibility for testing and also managed contact with Swedish sub-suppliers and authorities, resources were freed up for A-Katsastus' own project managers. This was a decisive factor in successfully completing the project on time, even with the tight deadline. The system was launched as planned, enabling the first Carspect garage to open right on schedule. HiQ's efforts contributed to simplifying the entire establishment process. A-Katsastus now plans to use the system for other new markets it enters in the future.

MORE EFFICIENT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS FOR NIRA DYNAMICS.

– HiQ has a wide range of technical expertise and great understanding of how the processes in larger development projects should be managed to achieve the best possible results. In this project we were seeking HiQ's expertise on adapting our processes to the requirements that specifically apply to the automotive industry. With the help of HiQ's analysis we can improve and streamline our development process, an important contribution to us at NIRA Dynamics, says Urban Forssell, CEO of NIRA Dynamics AB.

NIRA Dynamics is a high-tech enterprise that develops, markets and sells software products in automotive dynamics, active security and infotainment. The company has close links with the world of research, especially the Depatment of Electrical Engineering at Linköpings University.

Background

NIRA Dynamics flagship product, TPI, is a software-based tire pressure monitoring system and is one of the most innovative in the automotive industry. The system uses signals from the car's traction control instead of, which most competitors do, make use of sensors embedded in the tires. The advantages are that the system is cheaper, requires no maintenance and does not use any hardware.

Assignment

NIRA needed HiQ's help to analyze the company's process maturity according to the important automotive industry standards CMMI, ISO/IEC 15 504 and ISO 26262. HiQ, with experience in this type of mission, were suppose to focus on the CM requirements and processes according to ISO/IEC 15 504. On top of that HiQ worked with improvements  of NIRA’s current development process.

Results

As a result of this work, a report was presented describing strengths and weakness in the process areas examined, as well as a rating in accordance with Automotive SPICE. In the design phase, proposals were developed on the basis of the results of the analysis phase as regards how processes, work methods and tools are capable of improvement an an initial stage. The procedure also included a market survey of commercial and open source tools.

"HiQ has a wide range of technical expertise and great understanding of how the processes in larger development projects should be managed to achieve the best possible results. In this project we were seeking HiQ's expertise on adapting our processes to the requirements that specifically apply to the automotive industry. With the help of HiQ's analysis we can improve and streamline our development process, an important contribution to us at NIRA Dynamics", says Urban Forssell, CEO of NIRA Dynamics AB.

ON THE ROAD TO BECOMING ONE OF SWEDEN'S BEST E-ADMINISTRATIONS.

'The introduction of electronic notification means increased efficiency and major savings for both customers and the agency alike. For the Transport Agency, this project is an important step in reaching the goal of creating an e-administration by 2014, which includes the aim of becoming one Sweden's leading e-administrations,' explains Berit Nilsson from the Swedish Transport Agency.

Formed in January 2009, the Swedish Transport Agency is one of Sweden's newest administrative agencies. It currently employs 1,600 staff in 15 regions throughout Sweden and has its headquarters in the city of Norrköping.

Background

The Swedish Transport Agency is tasked with establishing regulations and ensuring they are complied with, as well as processing permit applications within the area of transportation. The agency also administers vehicle and congestion taxes. In 2008 the Swedish National Financial Management Authority (ESV) began requiring the agency to manage its invoices in accordance with a new e-standard. To achieve this required more efficient administration of e-invoices in accordance with the Svefaktura standard.

Assignment

The Transport Agency needed a cheaper, less-complicated system for electronically notifying motorists of vehicle and congestion taxes. Another reason for upgrading the system to an e-notification solution was that the task of connecting new businesses and organisations to the service had created an impossible workload for the agency's staff. A project manager from HiQ led the work of creating a technical solution for converting the notification documentation generated by the Traffic Registry Department's mainframe computer to the Svefaktura format. Systems developers from HiQ designed and implemented the solution as an e-service that could also be used for levying congestion taxes.

Results

'A major focus of the project was assuring the quality of communication between the agency and payment intermediary. The intermediary provides the  payment solution between the agency and the bank. The project also included designing the layout of the e-notifications, which were then approved by the Swedish Tax Agency,' explains Carl-Henrik Pettersson, Sales Officer and Chief Consultant at HiQ.

'The project also involved changing the file format for businesses with extensive vehicle fleets and complex financial systems. From previously having just three businesses connected to the old system, by the close of 2010, we had increased that figure to over 80 municipalities and businesses receiving notifications about their vehicle taxes in the Svefaktura format,' relates Berit Nilsson, operations expert at the Swedish Transport Agency.

The result of the project was a technical solution capable of sending notifications to all customers in a practical, standardised format. The same technical solution was also used for the congestion tax project. The Transport Agency is now able to avoid the time-consuming and costly adjustments that would otherwise have been needed for each customer and, at the same time, has taken yet another step along the road to becoming one of Sweden's best e-administrations.

AT HiQ, WE PRACTICE WHAT WE PREACH.

Our corporate values lie at the very heart of HiQ. They are our core and have been with us since the company's very beginning. These values are not for some high-sounding document we keep on file to show off to customers. They are fundamental to every project, every day, allowing us to create a competitive advantage for us and for our customers in the adventure we like to call IT.

Results

We deliver what our customers need – and that's what counts in the end. Creating value for our customers is vital and we follow-up our results in order to ensure continued improvement.

Responsibility

Every HiQ employee knows they are expected to serve as a good example and to take personal responsibility in both word and deed for themselves and their team. This principle allows us to make precision, on-time deliveries, often exceeding our customers' expectations.

Simplicity

At HiQ, we are continually working to make difficult things simple. In our world, we see no reason to complicate things. Delegated profit responsibility, a small-scale approach and creativity are our lodestars for creating simple solutions.

Joy

For us, joy means working with the latest technology. With joy comes an open mind, which promotes creativity. At HiQ, we thrive on developing professionally and are constantly improving. What's more, we have fun working with our customers.

A GOOD REPUTATION AND A GENEROUS HEART.

What makes a workplace productive? How do we successfully release the creative talent of each of our employees? We sat down with five HiQ employees to flesh out these ideas.

This turned out to be a conversation where the word ‘challenge’ came up frequently. It became clear that the HiQ's culture encourages employees to take on challenges, and this helps creativity come to the fore. In fact, it's not possible to talk about HiQ without talking about 'culture'. HiQ encompasses both hearts and minds, it would seem. Both staff and customers testify to HiQ's strong culture and shared values as something that binds the company together and makes everything work that much more smoothly. What might otherwise be little more than high-sounding rhetoric in a company document with no relation to employees' day-to-day work is something that everyone HiQ is committed to. Below are the reflections of fi ve employees on HiQ as a company: its culture, projects and people.

Patrik Rising, Consultant at HiQ. Patrik studied mathematics at Stockholm University before coming to HiQ. He has worked as a consultant for a number of different companies in both Sweden and England over the course of his career. Patrik arrived at HiQ five years ago and currently works with administration and IT architecture. For the past six months he's been working as a project manager at a bank.

"These values differentiated HiQ from the other companies I had been in contact with, and these same values keep me working for the company today."

Frida Olsson Wessely is originally a certified engineer specialising in engineering physics. After working as a radiation protection inspector at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSI) and a short stint in London as a quality assurance analyst, Frida is now a consultant within the testing division at HiQ.

"As I see it, it's part of HiQ's culture to put the project fi rst. The project always comes before the person. But that also means that we always help one another. We have fun and are enthusiastic. I think that rubs off on our customers. Another thing is that it's so simple".

Today Jenny Wärn works at HiQ in Gothenburg as a consultant and project manager working within the automotive industry. Development and  challenges are recurring themes throughout the conversations. These two elements attracted Jenny Wärn to HiQ, too

For Nira Biaudet in Helsinki the story was a bit different, though, even if it's easy to see that Nira also likes a challenge. She settled on HiQ as a result of her interest in sailing. While studying, Nira was also a competitive yachtswoman who spent entire summers on boats.

"I started looking around and was immediately attracted by the trimaran HiQ had on its website. So I sent in an application. The next day I was asked to come to an interview and was practically hired on the spot as a project manager, where my first assignment was to arrange sailing trips for customers in Finland".

Christian Sverrhag, who is a certified engineer specialising in computer technology, had worked as a consultant at several consultancy firms after graduating before he ended up at HiQ.

"What I would like to share with an outsider about HiQ? I would emphasise our flexibility and the opportunity I have to move on to projects in areas where I would like to develop my skills. That's the great part about being a consultant – getting to experience many different operations and challenges. The fact that HiQ has been named Sweden's best IT consultancy firm by the business journal Veckans Affärer four years in a row is not something I consider to be a product of chance".
