HiQ expands to Jönköping

With the vision of becoming the leading tech consulting company in Northern Europe, HiQ has acquired several companies within a short time period and is now announcing the set-up of the company’s first office in Jönköping. The opening is the next significant step on the company’s expansion journey, and it will create many job opportunities locally.

“Setting up an office in Jönköping is an important strategic step for us. We want to be the leading tech consulting company in Northern Europe, and we are growing like crazy. There are a lot of great competence in Jönköping as well as several leading companies. It’s important for us to work closely with our customers, and an office and expertise on-site enables us to do so,” says Sven Ivar Mørch, CEO of HiQ.

There is no doubt that HiQ is on an expansion journey. The company has recently acquired several companies in Sweden and Germany and is investing heavily in becoming the leading tech consulting company in Northern Europe. Just this spring, HiQ announced the acquisition of Headlight Group with offices in Örebro, Västerås and Borlänge, as well as the German digital consultancy Scandio. At the end of August came the news of the acquisition of yet another company, the Lund-based IT consultancy Advicon. The next step of the expansion is now official – HiQ is opening its doors and establishing a brand new site in Jönköping. A presence in the city is of importance as it is a base for many leading companies. As a historic trading city, Jönköping has long been a hub for many industries, such as engineering. Even today, there are still many heavy hitters in the city. Jönköping also plays an essential role in the electronics and transport industries.

“We are strengthening our presence in the Western region, and we are working full steam ahead. The range of companies based in Jönköping, in combination with a great university, makes the city a central point for HiQ’s operations and the business areas that we specialise and operate within. Many companies in the city are active within sectors where HiQ is in a leading position, so Jönköping is perfect for us,” says Sven Ivar Mørch, CEO of HiQ.

The set-up in Jönköping is at an early stage, while the rate of expansion is high. HiQ are also opening up to new customers locally while existing customers will have access to even more expertise with yet another office on the map. Jönköping is also a significant hub for both students and businesses. HiQ’s presence not only enables new job opportunities but also constitutes a potential route into the working world for students via HiQ Leap, the company’s graduate programme, which will start in early 2022.

“By setting up in Jönköping, HiQ is proving that our municipality yet again is a place where leading players in the industries of the future want to be. The diversity of the broad business community combined with strong growth creates excellent business opportunities for cutting-edge consultancy businesses,” says Sven Rydell, Trade & Industry Manager at Jönköping Municipality.

Setting up in Jönköping will require a major recruitment drive, which creates many job opportunities in and around the city. HiQ is looking for tomorrow's stars to join the company and build up the business locally. HiQ is convinced that tech development is the best way to make the world better, more sustainable, simpler, safer, and more fun. So, if you want to be part of that journey and the company's expansion, apply now.
