Lähitaksi chooses HiQ to simplify taxi travel in Finland

HiQ is behind Finnish taxi company Lähitaksi’s new digital service aimed at improving the customer experience and making it easier and more convenient to order and pay for a taxi.
"I’m very proud that Lähitaksi has chosen HiQ as their digitalisation partner. It’s exciting to help create the taxi services of the future,” says Jukka Rautio, Managing Director of HiQ Finland.

HiQ has delivered a digital platform and easy-to-use and customer-friendly mobile applications to Lähitaksi. With the Taksini (My Taxi) app you can order and follow your taxi until it comes and picks you up. The connection between the apps and the underlying systems is made using HiQ’s integration platform Frends, which greatly simplifies integration while making it easy to add new functions.

Taksini was released on the market at the end of last year and work is now continuing on development of the new platform.
“Work on Taksini has only just begun. We will soon be able to add really innovative features,” says Jukka Rautio, Managing Director of HiQ Finland.

Technological developments have had a major impact on the taxi sector. Soon, the entire transport sector will look completely different thanks to innovative thinking and technical possibilities.
“HiQ works with several of the biggest taxi operators in the Nordics to create the digital transport ecosystem of the future. City dwellers often want to get around quickly, flexibly and easily. Rapid technological developments and increasingly crowded cities are constantly upping the need for flexible, simple transport systems. The taxi sector will play a very important role in this development,” says Erik Ridman, Head of Communications at HiQ.

HiQ expands in three Swedish cities following the acquisition of Headlight

Earlier this year, HiQ acquired Headlight Group, consisting of Headlight and Relight. This acquisition is an important part of HiQ’s expansion journey and will bring new job opportunities to the cities of Västerås, Örebro and Borlänge due to the great recruitment need. The news comes just weeks after the acquisition was announced and is an important part of HiQ’s effort to become Northern Europe’s leading tech consulting firm.

– We’re so excited to be expanding to Borlänge and in the cities of Örebro and Västerås! This merger enables us to expand further in the Swedish market and bring new jobs to all three cities while also affording us the opportunity to work together with companies in these areas. HiQ & BatteryLoop develop more efficient charging infrastructure

BatteryLoop, a company which gives electric car batteries a second life as energy storage systems, launched an energy storage system in the spring of 2021 which makes it possible, among other things, to build charging infrastructure in places where the electricity grid suffers power shortages. In collaboration with HiQ, BatteryLoop is now developing a digital platform that makes it possible to maximize power in the charging infrastructure. The digital platform enables an estimate as to how long a battery has left to live, thus its economic value in a circular business model.

– It is fantastic that our team is joining BatteryLoop on this journey. Circular business models and sustainability are important to us at HiQ, and it really shows with this project. There is an incredible amount to do to streamline the use of energy in society and this solution is an important contribution to that process, says Sven Ivar Mørch, CEO of HiQ.
