HiQ wins new agreement with Veikkaus

Following a public procurement, HiQ signs a new framework agreement with the Finnish state-run gaming company Veikkaus.
“We are proud to have once again been chosen as a partner to Veikkaus in a public procurement among tough competition. Veikkaus’ challenges are consistent with HiQ’s expertise in technology, design and communication,” says Jukka Rautio, Managing Director of HiQ Finland.

The framework agreement covers software development and maintenance, creation of server and network environments, and technical consultations. HiQ had already been providing technical expertise to the state-run gaming company Veikkaus’ gaming development section, along with development and training in gaming, device, system and improvement methods.

“HiQ specialises in combining technical expertise with design and user focus, which is exactly what Veikkaus is looking for,” says Rautio.

Veikkaus has annual sales of around one billion euros and profits go back into the Finnish public coffers to be used for culture, sport, research, youth work, the social welfare system, health and the horse industry.

The framework agreement runs until the end of August 2020 and can be extended by 1 + 1 year.

HiQ has an extensive background in service and product development in the gaming market and has worked both with gaming development for online casinos and for more traditional gaming and betting operations. HiQ’s partners currently include Swedish ATG (AB Trav och Galopp).
