HiQ celebrates one year with Skånetrafiken’s travel app

Skånetrafiken, a regional public transport authority in the south of Sweden, is constantly working to improve customer satisfaction levels and make everyday life simpler for its customers. Skånetrafiken’s new travel app will soon be celebrating twelve months of service – and HiQ is proud to be one of the main suppliers behind this success story. Now the journey is set to continue with more added functions.

One year after it was first launched, Skånetrafiken’s new app is regularly used by around 190,000 travellers. The CSI score for the “Buy Ticket” function has never been higher. That’s why one out of every three commuters in the Skåne region chooses to buy their monthly travel ticket in the app. Users are satisfied with the new system and more than half of them consider it to be better than the old one.

“We want a solution that enables our customers to travel simply and smartly, as and when they wish,” says Camilla Bunke, Head of Sales at Skånetrafiken. “Soon it will also be possible, for example, to use the app to buy tickets and monthly travel cards to and from Denmark. This is a function that many people have long been requesting.”

“We are proud of the confidence that Skånetrafiken has shown in HiQ and of the fruitful collaboration between our companies. Skånetrafiken is a forward-looking partner and is driven by the same conviction as HiQ, that digital technology provides us with the tools to simplify people’s lives. We are now looking forward to continuing to make everyday life simpler and better for all of us who regularly use public transport to get around in the Öresund region,” says Anna Kleine, Managing Director of HiQ Skåne.

“We’re passionate about using smart technical solutions to simplify everyday life, and we’re never happier than when we’re helping our customers to do just that. Achieving this aim in public transport operations, which are important for so very many people, is an excellent way of demonstrating how we can use our expertise in state-of the-art technology to make life simpler for people,” says Lars Stugemo, CEO and President of HiQ.

HiQ expands in three Swedish cities following the acquisition of Headlight

Earlier this year, HiQ acquired Headlight Group, consisting of Headlight and Relight. This acquisition is an important part of HiQ’s expansion journey and will bring new job opportunities to the cities of Västerås, Örebro and Borlänge due to the great recruitment need. The news comes just weeks after the acquisition was announced and is an important part of HiQ’s effort to become Northern Europe’s leading tech consulting firm.

– We’re so excited to be expanding to Borlänge and in the cities of Örebro and Västerås! This merger enables us to expand further in the Swedish market and bring new jobs to all three cities while also affording us the opportunity to work together with companies in these areas. This is a good step for us on our expansion journey. Let’s go big!, says Sven Ivar Mørch, CEO of HiQ.

HiQ & BatteryLoop develop more efficient charging infrastructure

BatteryLoop, a company which gives electric car batteries a second life as energy storage systems, launched an energy storage system in the spring of 2021 which makes it possible, among other things, to build charging infrastructure in places where the electricity grid suffers power shortages. In collaboration with HiQ, BatteryLoop is now developing a digital platform that makes it possible to maximize power in the charging infrastructure. The digital platform enables an estimate as to how long a battery has left to live, thus its economic value in a circular business model.

– It is fantastic that our team is joining BatteryLoop on this journey. Circular business models and sustainability are important to us at HiQ, and it really shows with this project. There is an incredible amount to do to streamline the use of energy in society and this solution is an important contribution to that process, says Sven Ivar Mørch, CEO of HiQ.
