HiQ wins business critical assignment with Finnair

HiQ embarks on a major collaboration with Finnair, in which HiQ helps the airline company with the development, support, management and operation of their crew management system.

With this assignment HiQ becomes a strategic partner to Finnair and the business deal is initially signed for four and a half years.

Finnair is one of the world’s longest operating airlines and it has recently been awarded one of the safest airlines to travel with.

“Finnair is a very exciting company. HiQ is nowadays well established within the aviation industry, something that enables us to grow and gain market shares. We are grateful for the confidence Finnair shows in us with this more than four year long business deal. We are looking forward to the changes and the improvements we together will create, says Jerker Lindstén, Managing Director of HiQ in Gothenburg.

HiQ will take over all the existing work regarding the business critical system and from here on out development, support and management will be under HiQ’s direction.

“We chose HiQ because we believe they are the best possible partner for us within this area. What was important for Finnair in this agreemeent was better cost efficiency in development and lower risk in application maintenance and support”, says Kari Saarikoski, CIO at Finnair.

“The aviation industry is, as well as many other industries, going through transformative changes which are making a good IT support system even more business critical. With an efficient IT system the client can focus on their business and deliver even better results”, states Lars Stugemo, President and CEO at HiQ.
