HiQ helps the Finnish S Group (S-ryhmä) to create the next generation of mobile banking services. S-mobiili, which was launched in November, has had a fantastic response from users as well as experts.
The new service is a finalist in two categories in Grand One, a major competition for digital solutions. With S-mobiili, HiQ strengthens its leading position within innovative mobile banking and payment services.
“We want to offer the best possible solutions for our customers. The users have given S-mobiili an average score of 4.5 stars, which is proof that the service has really succeeded in meeting the users’ demands. Being nominated as a Grand One finalist shows that we are forerunners in developing digital customer experience,” says Jari Sinkkonen, Director at S-Bank, S Group’s own in-store bank.
With S-mobiili, the S Group’s customer-owners can manage their daily financial matters while handling their purchases. S-mobiili is the world’s first mobile bank to be integrated with a retailer’s customer bonus system. The service will also simplify the customers’ everyday life with tailored discount vouchers and functionality for finding service spots. HiQ was responsible for further developing the concept and for technical realisation.
HiQ has earned the position as an expert within mobility and digital banking and payment solutions. HiQ has created many successful solutions in this area, such as the mobile payment service Swish, which has over one million active users.

The Grand One winners will be announced at an awards gala on 27 March in Helsinki. S-mobiili is nominated in the categories “Best mobile service” and “Best UX design”.
S-Pankki belongs to S Group and is a Finnish in-store bank with over 2.6 million customers. S-Pankki offers services for handling daily financial errands, savings and the financing of purchases. S-Pankki serves their customers via service spots at more than 700 of the S-group’s outlets all over Finland, as well as via online and telephone banking. S-Pankki’s services are primarily aimed at users of the S bonus card.
