“With almost twenty years of experience from the telecom sector, we have massive know-how and experience that we can use when creating innovative and simplifying mobile solutions. Swish is a great example of that and we are proud to see that the service is appreciated, by the users as well as by the Guldmobilen jury,” HiQs CEO Lars Stugemo says.
Swish, that HiQ created together with Bankgirot is a shared service for Sweden’s six largest banks: SEB, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Danske Bank, Länsförsäkringar Bank, and the various branches of Swedbank and Sparbankerna. Swish enables individuals to transfer money in real time, without card readers or long account numbers. All that is needed for the transaction is the recipient’s mobile phone number. The application has been one of the huge mobile successes of the year, with over 500 000 active users.
”Mobility is one of HiQ’s expert areas and it’s a key factor in all the market segments in which we operate. These nominations are proof that we are truly successful in creating solutions that simplify people’s lives,” says Peter Lindecrantz Häggström, HiQ’s Head of Corporate Communications.
Swish is nominated in the categories ”Mobile innovation of the year”, ”Mobile payment of the year” and the ”App rocket of the year”. The winners are announced on 7 November.
