The agreement involves HiQ taking comprehensive responsibility for providing everything from project management to development and testing.
Sjöbasis is an information coordination system used to collect, process and develop relevant maritime information, all done within a single system and that is made available to public authorities that need it. In doing so, the system eliminates costly double-up work. Sjöbasis effectively coordinates the information and intelligence efforts within maritime monitoring.
"HiQ has been active in Karlskrona since 2004, and during our eight years in the region we have cemented our expertise and our fields of speciality. Naturally, this helped us to win the contract. There are many exciting customers in the area. For HiQ, this comprehensive project will see us draw on our expertise within operational control. We look forward to simplifying and streamlining the Coast Guard's management function even further," says Klas Nyström, Managing Director at HiQ Karlskrona.
