“I am extremely proud of the great vote of confidence that we have received from Channel 4; as a digital partner we look forward to working with the broadcaster to provide specialist technical expertise”, says Anna Kleine, Managing Director of HiQ in Skåne in the southernmost part of Sweden.
The media segment is in a substantial phase of change; today we consume media content in a completely different way to in the past. Tablets and smartphones, combined with extensive technological development, form the foundation of the change.
“We benefit from our experience of several market segments”, Kleine explains. “We use the technology that we work with in telecom, for example, in the media segment, too. Although many developments have been made in recent years, it’s just the beginning of what the technology has to offer,” she continues.
HiQ has had some dedicated resources working with Channel 4 in London for a while providing additional technical resource in specialist areas.
”We chose HiQ for their experience in IT and communications and are pleased to have them on board as one of our digital partners,” says Kevin Gallagher, Chief Information Officer at Channel 4.
“Web, mobility and digitisation form an area in which we are going from strength to strength and in which, among others, HiQ’s companies in Skåne and Gothenburg have started an exciting collaborative venture,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ. “The distinction of being a digital partner for Channel 4 is a flying start to this venture”, he concludes.
