HiQ has worked with clients in the defence sector since 1992. We are leaders in the Nordic region in simulation technology. Our knowledge of simulation originates from developing high-tech simulators for pilots training to fly the JAS 39 Gripen.  

HiQ’s expertise in simulation spans several areas – from developing a simulated tactical environment for a fighter pilot, to an environment where engineers can learn to fix problems that occur in a modern combat vehicle.

In the defence sector we work with advanced development of realtime systems for other areas of the military as well. HiQ is, for example, working on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) solutions making it possible to tag materials so that they can be scanned via a radio antenna.

Another example is logistics systems for the maintenance of aircraft and helicopters, where HiQ is working with standards, migration and testing. Another of HiQ’s assignments is developing a radar warning system for military reconnaissance planes.

HiQ’s clients include the Swedish Defence Material Administration, the Swedish Armed Forces, SAAB, BAE Systems Hägglunds and BAE Systems Bofors.
