What is STCC?
STCC stands for “Swedish Touring Car Championship” and is the Swedish championship for production cars. The series took shape in the early 1990s, but first got under way in earnest in 1996. The first series was won by Janne “Flash” Nilsson, and Flash Engineering has been competing successfully in the STCC ever since.
The STCC applies a simple set of strict rules that ensure equality among the starting field and close races between numerous competing makes of car. In brief, the rules state that the engine should not exceed 2 liters, the maximum rpm is 8,500 and the chassis must be a standard metal chassis.
